REUNION EVENT SCHEDULE

IF YOU NEED GROUND TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT:  Please submit the google form, send an email to Ashley, or throw up a smoke signal so we know.  We have adequate vehicles at this time: Tom and Laura have two and Kara/Casey are driving their truck.

 

IMPORTANT:  All events are subject to change.  There will be an agenda board in the kitchen.  Check it frequently for updates!

 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9 - ARRIVAL DAY!

We have been informed that we can check in to the house early at 1:00pm on Thursday.  Grateful to the management for the early check-in (should be 4:00pm)

 (The McDonnells and the Breeces are arriving Wednesday night, and staying nearby for the night. 

Our intention is to do the initial supply shopping and set up the kitchen for the first arrivals.)

 

FOOD TEAM #1 is on duty for dinner on arrival day.  We will be preparing items that can be dished up whenever you arrive; no set meal time. 

Room assignments will be posted so you can settle in.

 

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10

9:30am  YOGA/PILATES BY THE POOL with Laura

Friday day is casual, with the pool and beach nearby, table activities, and late arrivals.

Meal Team #2 is on duty for breakfast and dinner.

Lunch is on your own; you are welcome to forage in the kitchen.  Sandwiches, soups, and quick grabs will be available.

 

FRIDAY THEME NIGHT:  80's NEON GAME NIGHT!!  Get those goofy outfits ready!  The stupider the better.

DJ Spotify will be spinning the 80's hits all evening.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11

9:30am  Yoga by the pool with Allison  (The Ally-Lama) 

Meal Team #3 is on duty for breakfast and dinner.  Lunch is on your own; forage the kitchen for sandwiches, leftovers, go out or whip something up.

Dinner will be after photos, so no one gets anything on their outfits.  Appetizers at 4:30pm!

 

PHOTO NIGHT! CALL TIME 5:00PM.  Check the board for meetup location; we will be shooting on the beach.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12

9:30AM  Morning Stretch by the pool - Laura

NERF WARS!!!!

 

 

 

This is a good day to hike the state park, visit an activity, etc.  

• Finish puzzles

• Take pictures

• Swim

• Take the golf cart for a spin

• Nap

• Billiards and Foosball!

 

Early departures begin. :(

 

 

MONDAY, OCTOBER 13

CHECKOUT DAY.  (sad face)

Airport runs begin early.

 

Meal Team #1 is on duty for breakfast, and packing up the kitchen.

 

EVERYONE:

• Look around for lost & found

• Help clean up the kitchen and common areas.

• Gather your take-home items

• Get your official Denton Reunion Thumb Drive, with all the photos on it.

• Stake your claim on leftover snacks and food.

Anyone still around at checkout, lunch will be at DEWEY DESTIN'S HARBORSIDE RESTAURANT. 

This is a local legendary spot, and we enjoyed it very much after closing up last reunion.  Final sendoff to the stragglers!

NERF WARS

  (Laura has acquired an armory of nerf weapons, all that use the same foam bullets,and hundreds of said bullets for easy reloading.  This is going to be EPIC.)

 

Destin has a large number of tourist-type attractions, such as arcades, a rock-climbing gym, go-karts, etc.  There is also nearby Henderson Beach State Park that offers wildlife viewing, hiking paths, and fishing.  Nearby outfitters can accommodate those who may want to rent boats or other watercraft.
